Gift Guide: Outdoorsy
Over the past few years or so, Nick and I have gotten a lot more interested in hiking! These are items we use and love and would make great gifts for the outdoorsy person in your life. We’re not experts, but these are great basics to start with.
Shopping Links:
Lightweight Backpack: This comes in multiple sizes (55-80L) and is pretty lightweight for a backpack! It’s also extremely comfortable to wear, which was super important for me. Comes in tons of different colors as well. Has 4.5 stars on Amazon (2,000+ reviews)
Carhartt Hiking Socks: A staple for someone who likes to hike routinely. Very comfy and warm. Also high enough to keep your ankles from getting blisters while wearing hiking boots.
Columbia Hiking Boots (for her): These are very lightweight and comfy. They come in a ton of colors (pricing does seem to vary on size/color selected). I have had mine for at least 3+ yrs.
Timberland Hiking Boots (for him): These come in three colors, and are very durable and comfortable. Nick has had his for several years now and still loves them.
Hydro Flask Water Bottle: I also have this listed on my Her Wellness gift guide. It’s my favorite water bottle and has lasted forever. Keeps your drinks hot/cold for hours. You can also buy different types of lids as well.
Sleeping Bag: This lightweight mummy sleeping bag is great for camping/back packing. It comes in two different temperatures (either 20º F or 0º F).
Portable Medical Kit: This would make a great stocking stuffer for someone who likes to be adventurous! You never know when you’ll need something like this.
National Parks Book: This book takes you through the history of the National Parks. It also makes a beautiful coffee table book as well with its plenty of pictures.
Carhartt Beanie: I have this listed on the For Him gift guide as well. But it’s a great stocking stuffer or add on gift. So soft, stretchy and warm! Comes in tons of different colors for both men and women (kids too, actually)!
