August Mood Board

Hello August!

I don’t know how we are already more than halfway through the year already. It’s been moving faster than usual, I swear. If you’re anything like me, maybe you feel like you have fallen off track a bit and haven’t quite accomplished as much as you expected to at this point. But, that’s okay! We still have 5 whole months left, which means plenty of time!

With that in mind, I started thinking about ways to regain my focus and encourage myself to find passion and purpose again. I started thinking about what feelings and actions I wanted to focus on this month and how to implement them. SO- I decided to create a mood board for the month of August. I compiled pictures of times over the past year (or further back) where I felt most happy and successful. I included colors that inspire me and bring positive thoughts.

Although this is just a snapshot really of what I want to focus on and accomplish this next month, I thought it might be the perfect way to motivate myself.

In the month of August, I plan to focus on:

STRENGTH: Both mentally & physically. I’d like to build muscular strength just as much as I hope to continue to strengthen my mindset. I’ve had huge revelations in the past few months and learned so much about myself and my life goals. I want to continue to work on that!

FREEDOM: The freedom to allow myself to just BE ME. This is always hard for me to do. As an extremely introverted and reserved person, I find it hard to really be myself around others. But, the more I can share my personality with other people, the greater the connections I have and that ultimately leads to living a more fulfilled life.

GROWTH: This one encompasses lots of different goals. Growth internally, growth in my relationships, my career path and physically as well. I’m currently working on completing two new certifications (nutrition, and corrective exercise), so growth in my education and skills will be the main focus.

NATURE: I feel best when I can spend more time outside, away from my phone. My husband, Nick, and I have been trying to go on walks at different parks at least once or twice a week lately, and I am loving that! I also hope to go hiking this month and continue working in our garden, too!

I hope that whatever it is you want to accomplish this year, you realize it is never too late! You have all the time that you need and you may just need to regain some focus. 

I’ll be using this mood board to look back on during the month on days I feel like I’m losing track or focus. It’ll be my reminder to continue to push closer toward my goals and my WHY. I’m hoping to continue this each month moving forward as a way to set my focus with each new month and push even harder to reach my goals & dreams.
